Our Chrysalis Phase

Humanity is at a turning point. Where we are going, we’ve never gone before. At least not in this way. My guidance often speaks to me through songs and song lyrics. The past few days I’ve been hearing REM’s “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)” over and over in my head. To me that title speaks volumes. It’s not the end of the world, only the end of the world that we’ve come to know. Things aren’t ever going  back to the way they were. They can’t. We didn’t come here to experience all of the chaos, unrest, and collapse only to go back to an old state of existing. We came here to create something new and unprecedented. We are in the midst of an incredible transformation and there’s no going back.

Right now so many of us find ourselves in lockdown. Quarantined and isolated. To me, this is our equivalent to the chrysalis stage the caterpillar goes through on its journey of transformation into a butterfly. The caterpillar, following its own life path, at some point has the impulse to spin itself into isolation as it enters the next phase of its journey. It unplugs from everything it knows, and begins to break itself down from the inside out. The cells and tissues that once held its form as the caterpillar are now repurposed while the old collapses and begins to rebuild itself as the butterfly.

I don’t know if a caterpillar feels emotions or has feelings about its existence. If it does, I can imagine how bizarre, and scary that experience would be. The loss of everything that was once familiar. The loss of an identity that has defined it for so long. A period of darkness where everything literally falls apart as the new is being formed. Describing that phase as chaotic and disorienting I think would only begin to scratch the surface. Actually, I don’t have to imagine it, I’ve lived it. It’s exactly what we go through in our own way, on our journey of transformation.

While from the outside it might seem bizarre and terrifying, the truth is that the caterpillar has everything it needs to navigate the experience. The codes and genetic information that are needed to turn the old cells into the new form are held within. It literally has everything it requires to navigate its journey of transformation. The emergence of itself as the butterfly, reborn from the chaos and darkness is part of the plan. Yet in order for this process to occur it must surrender the old reality. It can’t go back to the old way, that’s not why it came. It can’t simultaneously cling to the comfort of familiarity and also emerge into the new.

What I have learned from my own journey of healing and transformation is that when we’re in the midst of it, it never makes sense. How can it? As the familiar crumbles and falls, all sorts of long held fears and anxieties surface. Things are turned upside down and inside out as we collapse and are reborn. As we move from a life where we are outwardly focused to one where we are inwardly directed, it is always disorienting, surreal, and fraught with heightened emotional states. Yet on the other side of those intense passages has always been the realization of what I unlocked within myself. The clarity, authority, and sovereignty are uncovered. The energies, and information that I need to navigate it are revealed from within. The strength to not only make it through a dark passage but to come out on the other side as a clarified, purified, and more vibrant version of my Self is always found. The liberation from the old ways of being, the freedom that is experienced as I reclaim my inherent powers of creation is proof to me that while what I needed may have been deeply hidden away, it was always there. Without the journey through upheaval and confusion, I never would have been pushed beyond the limits of what I thought I was capable of. Most importantly, what I have ALWAYS seen on the other side is that it was all part of the plan.

I know in my heart that more than anything right now we are being called to remember. Remember our inner connection to our Truth. Remember that when we are united rather than divided, anything is possible. That while it won’t always be necessary for us to learn and grow through struggle and adversity; when we can accept it rather than fighting it, it always reconnects us to something deep within. More than any of this though what we are in the process of remembering is how truly magical and masterful we are. That’s why we’re here: To remember the truth of our magnificence and reform our world into one that feels like paradise. A world where everyone gets a seat at the table. A world where nobody has to go without even the most basic of resources. A planet where we care for one another rather than allow ourselves to be divided by fear.

Not only is it possible, it’s why we came. So as the old continues to dissolve and reform itself, our duty is to stay present with ourselves, our experience, and our loved ones. To hold one another in love and compassion as we cross the bridge into the new.

On Thursday, March 19th the cycles turn towards the Equinox. This is a time of rebirth and regeneration. As one thing ends, so another begins. Join me on March 19th at 11AM MT on my YouTube channel for some group energy work.
This gathering is offered on a donation basis, so there’s nothing required but for you to show up. Click the link now and hit “set reminder” and I’ll see you then! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqvwVsB-avQ
